Kumlubük: A Coastal Day with an Optional Amos Visit

Spend time on the Kumlubük coast, then decide whether to add Amos. Separate beach access, a boat stop and the hillside archaeological walk.

Give the coast enough time

Kumlubük suits a day where staying by the sea matters more than completing a list of stops. Arrive with time to understand the shoreline and choose the section you will use. Verify access, parking and available services instead of assuming the bay is one uniform beach.

Water entry and the shore surface matter differently to different visitors. Check the actual swimming area and today’s conditions; depths should not be assumed identical everywhere. Plan water, shade and a comfortable return.

Amos is a separate walk

Official tourism information connects the Kumlubük area with Amos. This creates a useful option, not an obligation. The archaeological site needs suitable shoes, time on the hill and confirmation of the open visitor route.

Do not assume an easy crossing from every beach area or access to all excavation sections. If archaeology matters most, visit it deliberately and reduce the beach programme.

Distinguish a boat stop from a land day

A tour may provide a timed swimming break rather than an independent shore visit or Amos walk. Confirm landing, meeting time and the place to rejoin the boat.

Turunç offers a separate accommodation or meal base. Compare Çiftlik for another coastal day, while keeping each place’s access and services distinct.

Frequently asked questions

Must Kumlubük include Amos?

No. Amos needs a separate walking plan and current access information.

Does a boat tour include the Amos walk?

Only if explicitly listed. Ask about swimming and archaeological visits separately.

Is the water the same depth everywhere?

Do not assume so. Assess your selected shoreline and current conditions.
