The “island” is connected to land

Cennet Adası is the familiar name for the Nimara Peninsula opposite Marmaris. It connects to the mainland through Yalancı Boğaz. Explain this before travelling, especially when children expect an island crossing.

For a land visit, choose a specific open visitor area rather than navigating to the broad place name. A short drive to a shore point and a longer peninsula walk require different equipment and time. Roads, private areas, working facilities and forest measures can limit where you go.

A cave visit is its own walking plan

Nimara Cave brings together a natural formation and archaeological history. If it is your main interest, leave proper time for the permitted approach early in the day, then consider a short coastal rest.

A boat tour mentioning Cennet Adası does not automatically include landing or the cave walk. Ask these questions separately. Carry water, suitable shoes and a charged phone rather than relying on a beach bag alone.

Follow marked routes

Do not leave the recognised route to find a photograph or enter an unmarked forest trail. Check current visitor access and fire prevention notices. The view from the coast does not tell you which inland paths are open.

For a different nature outing, consider Günnücek. Keep both plans within the wider national park visitor guidance.
